As long men make industrial machines, for manufacturing and/or vehicles, they attached dataplates on them.
Mostly these dataplates were made from metal and a serial- or
manufacturingnumber could be stamped in the plate. Beside a number the
dataplate could also have some insructions for operating the machine.
This dataplate had
to fulfil a to surten characteristics. This was done by making a
design or blueprint which was given to the division or company who was
specialize
in making those plates. The blueprint described what the dimensions,
hole location, size of the holes and of which metal the plate would be
made.
The following (rare) 24 Volt plate was made using the original blueprint and a picture of an original plate.
