INTRODUZIONE

Dopo aver speso cosi'
tanto tempo e denaro nel restauro della mia jeep, rimasi infine insoddisfatto
della qualita' delle targhette riprodotte disponibili sul mercato. Cosi', iniziai
la mia personale ricerca sull'argomento, e decisi di produrre le mie personali
targhette. E piu' scoprivo e imparavo sui differenti stili di targhette, le
variazioni e i materiali utilizzati nel corso della Seconda Guerra Mondiale,
piu' l'argomento iniziava ad affascinarmi. Cominciavo inoltre a realizzare dai
contatti con altri collezionisti che esisteva un generale senso di frustrazione
nel non poter ottenere targhette di qualita' comparabile con gli alti standard
raggiunti nel restauro delle loro stesse jeeps.
Fino ad oggi ho
studiato e riprodotto diversi stili di targhette dati. Queste targhette sono
completamente corrette per una jeep della II G.M. MB/GPW. Ho usato gli stessi
materiali, nel corretto spessore, e gli stessi caratteri degli
originali.
I caratteri non sono semplicemente ottenuti dal computer,
perche' ogni singola lettera e' ridisegnata da targhette originali. Queste sono
assolutamente il meglio che possiate ottenere, e il vostro restauro senz'altro
si merita la piccola straordinaria attenzione al dettaglio che queste targhette
certamente vi daranno.
